Nice restored flat tank Sunbeam

Very nice 500cc Sunbeam 3.1/2HP in excellent restored condition.

Completely restored in the Marston Sunbeam Club workshop at Fordhouses, Wolverhampton a few years ago. Authenticated by Les Hobbs Sunbeam Marston Club.

The engine bottom end now contains the last nos Hoffman bearings as fitted at Sunbeamland, original mag rewound, and modern wheel bearings replacing the cup and cone type, converted by Chris Odling.

The Sunbeam has three former owners shown on buff log book, and was last taxed in 1936. The last tax disc is to be included with the log book.

Rare parts fitted include a deluxe sprung cantilever type saddle and an original Clayrite mirror, Tansad pillion seat. Also fitted are rare old stock empire cloth control cables.

Full original lucas gas lighting set, with separate tail lamp generator, as fitted new in 1922.

Award for best vintage at Stafford Show.

Award at the VMCC Burton Parade on its first outing after restoration, and was also ridden to and from the event.

The previous owner has taken the registration number RE 923 off the bike, and it is for sale separately on a retention certificate. The Sunbeam will be sold with an age related number. Current V5C UK registration document.

Good opportunity to own a lovely flat tank quality motorcycle.
