1921 Royal Enfield 1000cc V-Twin

Beautiful big vintage cruiser with a 1000cc V-Twin engine. This bike is in lovely restored condition and a credit to it's former owner. Ready to ride all day long in comfort. ++++++++++Directly after the Great War Enfield marketed two successful models: the light 2.1/4 HP two stroke and the V-twin sidecar machine. The V-twins were powered by 6 HP or 8HP JAP engines, for the model year 1921 Vickers engines were used. Later in the twenties Enfield's own V twin engines were fitted. Royal Enfield began by building three-wheelers but soon turned to small motorcycles with engines mounted over the front wheel. The Redditch factory began producing more convential motorcycles before the First World War and the success of these continued after 1918. In the 1920s and 1930s Royal Enfield continued as a leading manufacturer and even after the Second World War their range embraced motorcycles from 123cc to the 736cc vertical twin superbikes, one of the fastest motorcycles at the time in Britain.
